- Learn intuition behind ML pipelines such as neural networks and linear/logistic regression in order to apply them to real-world problems

- Learn through hands-on lectures and by solving problems on the online platform Kaggle (http://kaggle.com/)

- At the end of this series, you will be able to use these tools to address problems in areas like classifying images in biology or life sciences

Q: Do I need Python experience?

​

A: Python experience is highly recommended.

​

Q: Does it cost money to attend?

​

A: No! Attendance is free.

​

Q: Do I need to bring a laptop?

​

A: Ideally, yes. If there are issues regarding laptop access, we can always ask people to share.

Q: What do I need to bring?

​

A: A water bottle, snacks, and possibly a laptop!

Q: Do I need AI experience?

A: AI experience is absolutely not required. Feel free to attend without any AI background! We'll cover the basics at the workshop series itself.

Q: Must I be female to attend?

A: Ideally, yes, and we are inclusive of trans and non-binary people. If you do not identify as female and still really want to attend, please contact us!

Nandita Naik

Founder

​

Nandita Naik is a junior at Proof School who attended Stanford AI4ALL (formerly SAILORS) in 2016. She is interested in computer science, music, and literature. She competes in the USA Computing Olympiad (USACO) Gold division, and co-founded and taught at creAIte, a 2-day neural art workshop for teenage girls. She won 3rd place at Superposition and 2nd place at HP Codewars with her school team.

Oliver Zhang

Instructor

Oliver is a 10th Grader at Proof School. He is an experienced coder and has completed Andrew Ng's and Jeremy Howard's Machine Learning Course. Oliver enjoys teaching and helping others, and in his free time he likes to listen to music as well as go running. His favorite food is salmon prepared any way, and his biggest fear is of heights.
